"We are about health. Our health. Our family, friends, community. The health of our soil and the health of the planet. Grown organically and sustainably, nutritious food is the cornerstone of health."
We've been intensively and organically growing vegetables on the northwest corner of Puget Island, a ferry ride and 25 miles upriver from Astoria, for 40 years.
46 North Farm
In 2009 Teresa and Packy acquired land in Olney, near Astoria, and began 46 North Farm. They sell produce, cut flowers and plant starts seasonally through the Astoria Co-op Grocery, a small Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, and to several local restaurants. Teresa is a strong advocate for the importance of local food and small farms to the Lower Columbia region.
Nehalem River Ranch
Nehalem River Ranch is a multi-species, pasture-based farm committed to the highest standards of animal welfare and land stewardship. We are located just east of the three villages of Manzanita, Nehalem and Wheeler, nestled along the Nehalem River in the foothills of Oregon’s Coastal Range where the historic town of Foss once stood.
In this lush and temperate valley, our livestock thrives on the verdant, year-round pastures renowned for the high quality dairy that comes out of Tillamook County. Our grass-fed/finished beef, pastured pork and poultry are raised with deep respect for both the animals and the land.
For those intentional eaters concerned about non-GMO food and animal welfare who want to support family farmers and build strong local food economies while eating nutritious and delicious foods, Nehalem River Ranch is here for you.
We are a small family farm outside Astoria, Oregon that focuses on sustainable farming practices and raising our animals with respect. Based in the Lewis and Clark River Valley near historic Melville, our animals are grass fed/finished, pasture raised, and all natural.
Lazy Creek Farm
Located just outside Astoria, Lazy Creek Farm is committed to providing delicious, competitively priced, locally grown organic vegetables to the people of the north Oregon coast and southwest Washington Coast. (Chef's note: they also have the best eggs around!)
Glory B Farms
Glory B Farms is a certified organic produce farm located in Gray's River, Washington. They provided year-round vegetables and fruits.
A wee, idyllic 40 acre farm on Puget Island, Washington in the lower Columbia River. A wondrous setting of quiet beauty where the sky seems bluer, the pastures greener and the times simpler. A place where ”Hands On. Done Right. Proud Of It.” farming produces delicious results.
Spring Up Farm
Located in Knappa, Oregon, Kelly and Sam raise produce and chickens for direct-to consumer as well as restaurant sales.
Gales Meadow Farm
Our farm, on the northeast side of Gales Creek Road, includes 9 flat acres of wonderful soil, a steep wooded hillside - the west side of Clapshaw Hill - and a riparian area with cottonwoods. We produce more than 300 varieties of great tasting and beautiful vegetables and herbs. Many of our varieties are heirlooms.
Our farming practices build the soil and provide habitat for wildlife including native plants, insects, birds, and microbes. We have been certified Organic by the Oregon Department of Agriculture since 2001.
